Obituary of Samuel Henry Campos

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Samuel Campos, a beloved son, stepson, brother, grandson, uncle, cousin, and dear friend. Samuel's journey on Earth came to a close on September 16, 2023, leaving behind a profound void in our lives at a far too young age. Born on June 21, 1997, Samuel brought endless joy to their family from the very beginning. Their infectious laughter, radiant smile, and gentle spirit endeared them to all who had the privilege of knowing them. They had a natural gift for brightening even the darkest of days and bringing warmth to our hearts. Samuel had a love for EDM music and nature - One of their cherished experiences was a journey to the music festival Shambala in Canada, with their sister Olivia. There, they embraced the fusion of music and the great outdoors. Samuel was in their element, surrounded by the music they cherished and the beauty of the natural world. In addition to their passion for EDM, Samuel had musical talent, finding joy in playing the saxophone, flute, and piano during their school years. Samuel always dreamed of going to Hawaii. In tribute to that, we will be taking Samuel's ashes to Hawaii, where their spirit can find eternal serenity among the ocean waves and the beauty of the islands they longed to explore. Samuel's love for their family and friends was unwavering. Their presence brought people together, strengthening the bonds of family and friendship. Their capacity for love, acceptance, and kindness left an indelible mark on our hearts. Samuel's passing leaves an irreplaceable void, but their memory will live on in the countless lives they touched. As we bid our final farewell, let us remember the joy, love, and happiness they brought into our lives. Their laughter and spirit will forever echo in our hearts. Samuel is survived by their parents, Sheri Noel and Robert Campos; big sister, Olivia Campos and her partner Paden Little, along with their children, Quoia and Magnolia; step-parents, Eric Noel and Kim Campos; grandparents, Faye Nickels and Jim Bolick; Godparents, Andy and Lydia Campos; cousins Niko Whitefeather and Katie Melara who were more like a brother and sister to Samuel; beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as close cherished friends. All will carry their memory forward with love and gratitude for having shared in Samuel’s 26-year life journey. A memorial service to celebrate Samuel's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 29 at Sunnyside Little Chapel of the Chimes in Happy Valley. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Portland's Q Center, as it was a cause close to Samuel's heart. Though Samuel is no longer with us in person, their spirit will remain eternal, a beacon of light guiding us through life's challenges and reminding us to embrace each moment with love and acceptance. Let us remember all the good times we had with Samuel and keep their memory alive in our hearts. Rest in peace, dear Samuel. You will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
