Chamber of Commerce Meeting at Sunnyside

On Friday, March 17th, 2023, a Chamber of Commerce meeting was held at Sunnyside Little Chapel of the Chimes. Brian Mueller, the Area Sales Manager, shared a short presentation on the importance of pre-planning and even did a drawing for free out of area protection.

Funerals During The Pandemic

Social distancing measures meant to curb the effects of the novel coronavirus are forcing people to rethink what a funeral looks like right now. We talk with Elizabeth Fournier, the owner and undertaker at Cornerstone Funeral Services in Boring, Oregon and Marie Henry, a certified funeral celebrant and Portland-based market leader for Foundation Partners Group, a company that operates funeral homes and cemeteries around the country.

2023 Holiday Remembrance & Candlelight Service

Please join us for a special Holiday Remembrance Event on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 3 pm for a service in Sunnyside Chapel and 4 pm for a candlelight ceremony in the cemetery. There will be luminaries to place on loved one’s graves and free refreshments. RSVP by December 1 to info@sunnysidechimes.com.

Drive Thru Trunk or Treat

Please join Sunnyside Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens and Job's Daughters International as we celebrate Halloween by hosting a Drive Thru Trunk or Treat event on Saturday, October 30th at 3:00pm-6:00pm. This free community event will take place in the parking lot of Sunnyside. Kids of all ages are welcome and costumes are highly encouraged by not required! Pop Up Drive-In Movie Night

Bring your family and join us in the parking lot of Sunnyside in Happy Valley, Oregon to watch Disney's Lilo & Stitch on a 36' screen!

We'll supply you with a movie snack pack plus you can pre-order additional food for delivery to your car.

$40 PER CAR, includes snack pack for 2

Pre-order food options:
- $10 - additional snack packs (popcorn, cookies, water)
- $29-33 - pizza from Pizza Schmizza
- $5 - Italian Soda (10 oz)
- $8 - 4 mini cupcakes from Portland's Saint Cupcake (2 chocolate, 2 vanilla)

We look forward to welcoming you and your family! We will have a list of all who have purchased tickets and will be ‘checking you in’ as your car arrives. No need to bring any printed ticket. Doors will open at 7:30pm and the movie will start at dusk, which we expect to be at about 8:30pm. It’s light late in the PNW in May!
