Obituary of Christopher Eugene Johnson

On April 24th , 2023 Chirs was found resting peacefully in his home. Chris brought a community together of family, friends, and strangers and changed how they talked about mental illness. He was incredibly talented at drawing and had a dream of becoming a filmmaker. His favorite movie was "Back to the Future" which inspired him to write his first movie "Imber". Chris loved listening to 'ole school rap and chatting with his brothers about video games and cartoons. Chris is survived by his mother, Javonnie Shearn, siblings Richard L. Shearn III, Vincent A. Shearn, Ericsa M. Blevins, Jawan M. Blevins, Christopher B. Johnson, and Erykah Johnson. His nieces Maddelyn Shearn (Vincent) and Milana Shearn. (Richard) His Uncle "Tev" Tevis Snowden, his Auntie "Dez" Dessiree Price, and their children. He is also survived by his father, Christopher Johnson. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Gwendolyn "Glenda" Carter, his grandfather Harold T. Snowden, his "Unc Unc Harold T. Snowden, Jr., and his children. Chris believed when he left this physical place, he would ascend to a higher dimension where he would only experience joy. He departed in peace, and we wish him well on his new journey. His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone he interacted with as well as those he reached but never met. He was a kind and sweet man who will be forever loved and missed.
