Obituary of Barbara Jean Jodoin

Barbara Jean Keller Jodoin passed peacefully at home at 2 am on September 28th 2022 Barbara was born January 14, 1937, to Roy & Jennette Keller in Portland Oregon. She was the oldest of 3 children to Roy Keller. Jerry her brother who passed afew years ago and Vicki her sister who lives in Portland. She was the only child of Jeannette’s. Born and raised in Portland Oregon attending Ockley Green Grade School, Jefferson High School, and graduating from Roosevelt high school in 1955. Barbara and Gordon met in the summer of 1954 when they both worked at the Shamrock grocery & Pharmacy. They were married July 16,1955 and spent the next 67 years together. Her children Kathy, Nancy and Greg gave her 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Barbara and Gordon were members of New Hope Community Church and attended for over 50 years. They loved to dance, travel and spend time with friends and family. As she made her final journey home, she stayed positive and did her best to stay involved in conversations. She loved visits from everyone but especially from her amazing hospice nurses. When they were leaving, she’d say. "I'm glad you could see me again" something her Father Roy always said. We can honor Barbara by continuing to live your best life, helping where and when you can, encouraging and lifting others to do the same...
