Obituary of Norman Joseph Markham

Norman "Norm" Joseph Markham was a caring husband, father, son, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He left this world suddenly on February 16, 2021 at the age of 74 in his hometown of Portland, Oregon. He was born to Joseph and Norma Markham on June 15, 1946. After graduating high school, he started his career in the mortuary business before working at Kaiser Permanente for the majority of his career. After over 35 years at Kaiser, he retired and turned his sights on working as a shuttle driver for the Days Inn, where he enjoyed providing a smile to all of the faces of customers and friends that he met. He was also a devote cat lover who took care of any and all cats that had the blessing to meet him. During his wonderful life, Norman became the father to two children, his daughter, Veronica, and his son, Norman Jr. He also became a loving grandfather and great-grandfather. Norman was loved by all who met him, and though he will be truly missed, he is now able to spend his days with his eternal love, and wife Nancy Markham. A service will be held on Friday, March 5 at 11:00am at Sunnyside Little Chapel of the Chimes.
