Obituary of Leanna Faye Nolan

On Wednesday October 28, 2020, loving mother and grandmother Leanna Nolan, 66, passed away unexpectedly from complications caused by sepsis at Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center in Clackamas OR with her family close by. Known to her family and friends as Lee, she was born in Concordia Kansas and moved to Tygh Valley Oregon during her childhood. For the past eight years she resided in Lake Oswego OR to be near her daughter, son and grandchildren. Times with Lee, or if you were her grandchild you called her Nanna Honey and she made sure you did, were filled with smiles, laughter, goofiness and making as many memories cooking together as possible. Nanna Honey time was always a favorite. If you were lucky to have her love, she would travel high and low for you, fight alongside you in life’s battles and help you believe that tomorrow will always be better. Her love was fierce and loyal. She did and will always be rooting for everyone she loved. Lee took the same approach in her work. She enjoyed many years at Central City Concern in Portland OR and most recently worked in their Recuperative Care Program (RCP). After being a nurse for most of her life, it was her time at RCP that was most meaningful to her; an extended family she loved as fiercely and as loyally as her own. She is survived by her daughter and grandsons Wendy Schelske, Tristan Schelske and Lawson Schelske of West Linn OR, son and granddaughter David Listenberger (Laura) and Isabella Listenberger of Beaverton OR, brother Bradley Kenyon of Boise ID, extended family across the states and several wonderful friends. Lee was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Nolan; father, William F. Kenyon; mother, Faye E. (Kagle) Ryser; sister, Dina D. (Kenyon) Luecke; brother, Guy Kenyon. Due to the pandemic, only a small private family celebration of Lee’s life will be held. To honor her memory and life, please consider a donation to Central City Concern.
