Obituary of Jennie Lee Kingsland

Jennie Lee (Gillman) Kingsland, 85, passed peacefully from this life in her Canby, OR home on June 24, 2020 after a courageous battle with kidney disease. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Milton D. Kingsland; daughters Sherrie Terry (Randall) and Julie Kingsland; 4 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Dorothy Gillman, and by Jennie and Milt’s son, Bruce Kingsland. Jennie and Milt moved to Portland from Kansas following their marriage in 1954 and became life-long Oregonians. Jennie Lee will be laid to rest in a private ceremony in the Memorial Gardens of Sunnyside Little Chapel of the Chimes. A public memorial gathering will be scheduled in the future. For those wishing to honor Jennie’s memory, the family suggests donations in her name to the National Kidney Foundation or the American Kidney Fund.
