Obituary of Rosemary Collins Freitag

Rosemary Collins Freitag passed away peacefully in her home on February 9, 2020. Rosemary was born on October 26, 1925 to Thomas and Ethel Collins in Portland, Oregon. She had spent her entire life living in Portland. She graduated Cleveland High School. On October 19, 1946 she married the love of her life, James Freitag. Together they had three children and almost 60 wonderful years. Rosemary worked for the North Clackamas School district as head secretary for planning and administrative service. She worked there until her retirement in 1988. Rosemary was filled with excitement for life, she was fun loving and independent. She supported that big foot is lurking in the woods on the Oregon coast, and that the Loch Ness monster could be alive and well too. She enjoyed spending her time working in her garden. She loved having time together with her family. Rosemary is survived by her children, Charleen Straub, Roseann Freitag and Brian Freitag. Her grandchildren Lynzi Stralek, Spencer Straub, Tyler Freitag, Brock Freitag and Trisha Sweet. Her great-grandchildren, Jax Freitag and Elizabeth Sweet. She will be laid to rest with James at Willamette National Cemetery. A memorial service will be on Monday February 24th, 2020 at 12:30pm at Sunnyside Little Chapel of the Chimes.
