Bruno was a well loved Portland icon. He will be missed by many, yet live on forever with memories, his light and everlasting love and guidance. Bruno was one of the first people I met in Portland in 2005. He quickly became a wonderful friend and over the years, more like a spirit Dad. I illustrated his first book Flashbacks and marveled at his stories from traveling abroad, being in the marines, a bouncer at the notorious Satyricon club, his cabarets he put on, the Rock n Shop days and many other adventures. He really knew how to live life! And he taught all us other crazy kids how to also. I’ll miss him tremendously. I’ll miss his voice, his catch phrases... “you fly I’ll buy” “what’s up baby doll” “don’t let the man get you down” “tchotchkes” “yuckin it up”... I’ll miss his laugh, his dreams, his big warm hugs, his jokes and of course his love.
