Quincy Charles Mechler (Chuck), passed away at home in Eugene, Oregon surrounded by family on October 1, 2019.  Chuck was born June 19, 1944.  He was adopted as a baby by Gustav and Olivia Mechler in San Antonio, Texas.  He attended LaSalle High School in San Antonio and then joined the United States Navy.  He served on the U.S.S. Midway in the Special Weapons Unit and was honorably discharged in 1965.

He met the love of his life, Patricia Fults, in 1963 at Karl's Drive-In during a weekend pass while stationed in Alameda, California.  They were married in Caldwell, Idaho on June 8, 1964.  They lived in California until they moved to Portland, Oregon in 1978 where they lived until they moved to Eugene, Oregon in 2004.

In 1983, he went in search of and found his biological sister, Frances, who lived in Texas with her family.  It was always his dream to have a sibling and Frances and her family made this dream come true.

He spent most of his life working in the Diesel Trucking Industry.  He worked at multiple dealership manufacturers but spent the last part of his life working for Brattain International until he retired in December 2013 as the Operations Manager.

Chuck enjoyed several hobbies, such as fishing, camping, working on hot rods, leatherwork, and his amazing woodwork.
