Obituary of Grace Yabuki

Grace Yoshiko Yamakawa Yabuki, age 90, of Happy Valley, passed away at her home on September 9, 2019.

Grace was born on December 1, 1928 in Okayama, Japan. She attended Okayama High School and later married the love of her life, Jimmy Kazumasa Yabuki on April 26, 1946. They shared 62 years together until his passing in 2008. She was employed at Pendleton Woolen Mills where she worked as a seamstress. She was devout to her Buddhist faith and enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and playing the Koto.

Grace will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

 Donations can be made to the Nichiren Buddhist Temple of Portland or the Oregon Nikkei Legacy Center. Private Service for family only was held at the Little Chapel of the Chimes.
