Obituary of Trevor Hughes

Trevor Jacob Hughes, a resident of Oregon City, died on July 5, 2019 at Rockaway Beach.  He was 19 years of age.

Trevor was born on August 11, 1999 in Oregon City and was the son of Patrick and Sara.  He grew up in Oregon City where he graduated from OCSLA High School and worked as a warehouseman for Fed Ex.  Trevor was also a caregiver for his dad, Patrick while he battled cancer.  His dad preceded him in death on July 30, 2016.

Trevor had many hobbies.  He enjoyed football, metal detecting with his grandfather, rock collecting and online gaming with friends.  He also enjoyed woodworking, landscaping, the beach and barbeques.  He was caring, empathetic and he loved to joke around.  He loved animals, stood up for the weak and disabled and was always willing to lend a helping hand.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Trevor is survived by his mother, Sara Nye, twin brother, Taylor Hughes, older brother, Tyler Eliason, grandparents, Michael and Beverly Gornick and great grandmother, Helen McMartin.  He was preceded in death by his dad and his grandmother, Charlotte Hughes and great grandmother, Florence Gornick.

A life celebration gathering will be held on Friday, July 26, 2019 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm at Sunnyside Little Chapel of the Chimes, 11667 SE Stevens Road Happy Valley, OR 97086.
