Dear Lori and Trevor,
I am so sorry to read this today, that Joe has passed away. I cried, because I remember him, and he was always so positive. He was a great person to work for. He was more like a work friend than an employer, because he was approachable. He allowed me room to grow in my position as production manager. He had a joy for life, and it made me sad to think he is not with us now. It seems surreal to me. I was trying to find him to ask if I could have him give me a reference as I try to find a job, but I had run into roadblocks. It looked like he sold his business, so I was checking other areas. His obituary turned up as I typed in his name. I'm so sorry to offer condolences late, but I feel the need to, because I really liked working there, and liked your family. You were always good to me.
Joe was always a "go-getter", and a kind man, and he loved you both very much He always smiled. And I have to say: Look at that "lunker" he caught! :) Karen would want to tell you she was sorry for your loss too, I know (past secretary).
He raised Trevor to be an awesome kid! Dads are so very important! I hope this message, though late, finds you well.
Love, and Take Care,
-Cynthia A. Martin
