Lynette, tomorrow we will gather to honor your life, but I don't know how to say goodbye to you, my best friend. We have 30 years of shared memories as our lives have intertwined. We were finally card-carrying 'Seniors on SS' even as we still headed to the salon to cover up the gray! Could we have ever imagined that time would come, back in the days when we took our kindergartners to school? You should still be here, and we should be enjoying the next phase of our lives. I imagined retirement would mean we'd have more time for each other; we'd take fun trips- a little traveling, just the two of us, laughing our way through life as we've always done.
You are eternally loved, and now you are with God. I wish you could tell me about all the beautiful and wondrous things you are seeing. Some day we will share that, too. I love you and miss you.
